Activities in House

Merit making means doing good things as mentioned in religious doctrine. Thais' ways of life, since their birth until their death is so familiar withmaking merit. They strongly believe they ought to regularly make and gain merit which would bring them happiness, peaceful life and other good things. Gaining merit will strengthen them to overcome any obstacles or misfortune they are suffering. They intend to gain more merit because they also believe their accumulated merit would help them to be in heaven or a peaceful place after their death. Even more merit they gained would help them to reach nirvana (divine peace beyond this world).

Thais’ belief is based on the Buddhist doctrine. The concept is as stated in a Thai proverb "if you do well you will receive well if you do evil you will receive evil". It means the result of Karma which represents the evaluation of all life events, that is, you will receive the outcome of what you have already initiated.
A common rule in making merit is to prepare one's mind and thoughts. The mind has to be purified and ready. Gaining merit, however, must not bring any trouble or worry to one or others.
 
This tradition means putting food into the monks' bowl. Monks receive alms from people who believe they are gaining merit by giving. Every morning monks silently pacing the streets or river to receive offerings. It is understood that this is an opportunity for people to gain merit. 7 Days service available.

The food stalls offer a wide range of mouth-watering Thai and Chaing Mai culinary delights. This exotic event will be complemented by a show to honor the "River Gods" and take away old bad luck as you release a fire lantern "Kom Loy".

Wedding

Western Wedding 
The groom will be on the stage cabana with the flower decorations while watching the bride come along in the romantic boat.

Traditional Thai Wedding 
Start with "Hae Kun Maak" which is a very special drum parade to the boat with the groom. While the bride and her senior members are on the hotel boat pier.
The groom and the bride will exchange the "Kun Maak" to each other, meaning the both agree to marriage.
 
Traditional Lanna Wedding 
You & your lover will come along the Ping River by the romantically decorated Lanna boat. The group of Lanna traditional victory drums will live up to welcome and announce your arrival to the hotel’s boat pier
The groom and the bride will exchange the "Bai Sri" to each other, meaning the both agree to marriage.
 
Simple wedding 
A romantic cabana will be set up on the River Lawn, decorated all around with white roses.
