What made our stay so wonderful was the location - Jansom Bay. We loved the snorkelling and the privacy of the bay.
Charm Churee is a bit tired looking, although we stayed in one of the cheapest rooms - which was still priced high for what you got.

I would highly recommend sawadee com as a booking service. Professional and prompt.

First time we failed when deciding according to Sawadee travellers reviews. It was a big disappointment for us when we got there.
1) The hotel:
We stayed for two nights in the superior room and we were in disbelief what we got for 3000 BHT โ old cheap furniture, no TV, dark room, dirty walls (spots from killed mosquitoes), no hot water, very low water pressure.
2) The hotel restaurant
There are 3 restaurants: Two have a magnificent view on the sea and one is under a magnificent rock. Really beautiful location and good food for a good price. One is on the beach.
3) The Janson bay
Beautiful place, small and plenty of fish. One can snorkel just on the beach. However as it is so small one can have a feeling it is overcrowded with just 10 people on the beach. The next thing we did not like was the music that sometimes was played at the beach bar. Instead of enjoying peaceful sounds of the sea we had to listen to music played by the bartender.
4) The island
The island is a very good example of how tourism can ruin a beautiful place on earth. The island is very famous for its sea life and as such exposed to mass of tourists. Compared to the rest of Thailand, it is overpriced (any sort of accommodation there, taxi on the island). What we would normally call a paradise, appeared to us as a place full of taxi boats and ever-present tourism business.
Generally if you are planning to visit the island because of diving, it would probably be the right choice. However be prepared for higher prices. We found much better places for the same or less money. We decided to leave the island after 3 days.

This was a stunning and peaceful location and the room was perfect except for 1 thing(we were in the deluxe room). There was no tv. The service was fantastic, always with a friendly smile. Only 10 minutes easy walk to the pier shopping. The friendly hundreds of fish in the bay were great and loved being fed bread. I would definitely return, if they can add the tv, apparently it was only available in the most expensive room :-(

wonderfull place, very relaxing. Very good food at the restaurant and at elvis bar, and excellent service. Very kind people, beautiful private beach. Ask for sunset room villa!

Our Panorama room was wonderfull. All the resort is well done. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. Brakfast great as the dinner. The private beach is a jewel. We will come there again for shure!
